Pentatonix has announced that they will release their 4th Christmas album next month, followed by yet another Christmas tour. The new album is titled Christmas is Here!.
The made their splash as winner of The Sing-Off in 2011 and then released their debut album in 2012. To help support their fall touring efforts that year they released their first Christmas EP, titled PTXChristmas.
That album performed exceptionally well in 2012 and was re-released in 2013 with two additional tracks, including this one that skyrocketed to the top of the charts:
In 2014 they released That’s Christmas to Me, an original Christmas tune that again charted extremely well. The album is also the highest charting Holiday album by a group since 1962.
Despite a brutal touring schedule and series of successful non-seasonal releases the group returned to Christmas in 2016 with A Pentatonix Christmas — which promptly topped the holiday charts.
After spending Christmas 2017 with their own NBC Christmas special, why wouldn’t they return for more Christmas offerings in 2018?
The first song, an original called Making Christmas, drops in just a week and the album debuts the end of October.
