The 21-minute featurette will open in U.S. theaters in front of Disney/Pixar’s “Coco” beginning November 22.
But for a less-than-full length feature Frozen fans are not getting gypped.
“Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” features four new original songs and welcomes back the original cast of Kristen Bell as Anna, Josh Gad as Olaf, Idina Menzel as Elsa and Jonathan Groff as Kristoff.
The story follows a familiar theme — sad-sack Elsa doesn’t have any family Christmas traditions so Olaf goes door-to-door to find some.
Is this just Disney manipulating reality again? Are they trying to mold young minds with false notions of Christmas traditions?
Let’s hope they can’t do that in 21 minutes.
No, let’s hope this is better than what most of Hollywood puts out in relation to Christmas. Let it be cheery and fun and entertaining. Let it not be crude, shallow and forgettable. (Love the Coopers, anyone?)
The Frozen franchise is in a lull – between movie releases. It needs something to keep fans aware that it is out there and that it is coming back soon.
